dry stone walled garden with stone patio
Terraced garden with new stone paving
The levels of the garden are broken by the dry stone retaining walls and the patio has been laid using imported Indian sandstone.

Example of job progression
Before: Concrete paving had subsided and the brick retaining walls were inadequate, overgrown and beginning to collapse. During: The patio area has been increased by digging into the lawn.  A sub-base is installed for paving onto, this eliminates the possibility of movement. After: Dry stone walls form the boundary of the garden and  form a decorative retaining structure. The new patio is laid in Indian Sandstone. The garden was planted by the client.
